I've been involved in this life affirming ministry for twenty years serving first as a volunteer. My husband and I live in Williamsburg and are parents to three daughters. It always encourages me to know that this ministry is very close to the heart of God, the Father. The scripture that I stand on for Care Net Resource Pregnancy Centers is Ephesians 3:20-21, 'Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever!

   
   

I have been gladly serving as the Director of Operations at CRPC since October 2007. I know all too well the struggles our clients face because I have lived them. I was once a single mother and I am also post abortive. Because I believe that nothing is too hard for God, I know the challenges they face are doable. The Lord has changed my life and He can do the same for them. Knowing all things work together for good, I also like to let clients who are facing/considering the choice of adoption, know that "we turn out alright." Some scriptures I am encouraged by are Jeremiah 1:5, Psalm 138, and Psalm 37:13.

Hi! My name is Gail Slocum. I can’t believe 11 and a half years have gone by since I joined the staff here at the Care Net Resource Pregnancy Centers. I love this work that God placed before me. There are so many special moments I can think of, but the number one that I will never tire of is seeing a young girl walk through our door holding her precious baby who she considered aborting! She comes in ecstatic about the LIFE decision she made for her child and so appreciative of our help. It’s a miracle at its best! I thank God for what He does each day at this Center ~ touching lives and stirring hearts for Him.

One of the scriptures I hold on to is found in Psalm 18:1-3:
“I love you, O Lord, my strength.
The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer;
My god is my rock, in whom I take refuge.
He is my shield and the horn or my salvation, my stronghold.
I call to the Lord, who is worthy of praise,
And I am saved from my enemies.”

   
   

I live in Hampton with my husband and two dogs, we are Local Chaplains and we facilitate "Griefshare" at our church. We are also Gideon and Auxiliary members. We have eight grown children and 17.5 grandchildren, the 18th grand is due in April.

I started as a volunteer in Jan 2008 and was hired soon after. I love working for Care Net and seeing lives change for Christ and all of the great work that Jesus has been doing through Care Net. My scripture is Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Hope to the hopeless. That is what I live by. I have been involved with Care Net since January 2008. My heart is to see God glorified in all that I do. The men, women, and children that come into the Center are looking for help, and it is my pleasure to offer them not only help, but HOPE. I know that God is working in us and giving us the desire and the power to do what pleases Him (Phil 2), and that is what keeps me motivated! Jesus came to serve, not to be served, and that is what we at Care Net do every day…Serve our community so that God can be glorified!
